"Mythical creatures run the world. The government just doesn't know it yet."

The government that so graciously claims a utopia for all is just a cover up for a dystopian ruled society. Those who are oppressed suffer in the silence of the public eye. But occasionally, some will fight back with an unshakable valor.

Five girls descended from the First Lady struggle as they are faced with back to back life or death choices. Their very existence threatens the stability of mankind. They must choose whether to fight for themselves or fight to save those that suffer in the dark...

Just like them.

For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

What Happened When I Left My Village

36 parts Complete

"Have you ever considered that you might be adopted?" He asked me with no intention of prying, just curiosity. "...No, but come to think of it, if I was it would explain a lot." I discovered. ♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇♧♤♡◇ Aariyana Monroe is a nineteen year old girl with abnormal genes; at least, that is what her parents have told her all her life. All the others have light hair and green or brown eyes. But Aari has hair so dark it's nearly black, and eyes such a vibrant blue that she feels like a freak. But when she goes on a trip with her two best friends, and a stranger saves her from a handsy blond, she finds out there is at least one more person with dark hair and different eyes. He tells her that his whole family has hair like his, and she begins to doubt whether her family actually has her best interest in mind, or if a long forgotten memory that involves guns and light-haired strangers more accurately represents their intentions.
