Deep in space lives another planet like ours where everything is at peace, until the evil toxic Polutos lead by Commander Exo want to destroy our planet and pollute the entire universe. But one thing stands in Exo's way, the power of five gemstones known as Star Gems. Formed from the ancient sorcerers known as the Morphing Masters, the gems have chosen five teenagers from the planet Erutan to fight against evil, in their possessions these new heroes hold the ability to access new powers, weapons, and gigantic Mega Zords. Get ready, because the universe lies within their hands because they are the "Power Rangers: Universe"!

When a dark vessel in Angel Grove is unearthed, Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa release Ivan Ooze with a master plan to get revenge on the powerful Zordon who had trapped him inside thousands of years ago. After an attack on the command center the Rangers are left powerless. Zordon sends them on a quest to the planet Phaedos in order to fight this new threat. There they meet a mysterious girl with silver eyes that helps them on their journey. In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. After many years he managed to defeat her using six magical power coins. As punishment for her loss, she was sealed in a canister on the Earth's moon. However, before being sealed away, Rita trapped Zordon in a time warp. 10,000 years later, Rita and her minions have escaped their prison and are out to conquer Earth. Zordon, desperate to stop her, has his assistant Alpha 5 recruit six "teenagers with attitude": Jason, Hope, Trini, Kimberly, Zack, and Billy. Long ago evil armies lead by two dark masters who had rested in the earth's crust, threatened the safety and sanctity of planet earth. One ancient power called on the energies of six precious stones to create six heroes who challenged this great evil. The heroes fought the monsters that these dark masters, Lord Scaro and Serpenta, sent to them. Scaro's armies proved powerful, they even ended the life of that ancient power. Combining their powers Scaro was locked away and his armies reduced to ash but in the process the six heroes lost their lives. One apprentice of the stone's original protector, then collected the stones and took them as well as a close friend to a place of tranquility in the hopes to protect the stones from falling into evil hands. Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. Thomas 'Tommy' Oliver is a high school student that lives in Angel Grove. He's always bullied and steers clear from any form of fighting...but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to. Tommy is a sixth-degree black belt in Karate....but he's never told anyone this. His relationship with his father is a rocky one. But after Tommy is caught in a fight. Tommy is thrown into detention on Saturday with other students. There, he meets three teens that will forever change his life. Well...eventually anyways. *Note: I'm not really a fan of the Iron Man Mark 50 Power Ranger suits that were in the movie. I'm a Mighty Morphin fan. So, the suits are modernized versions of the original MMPR suits. Everything else is basically the same. Just those suits...not feeling it. I was half expecting arc reactor blasts to come shooting out the diamonds in their chests. Just thought I would let you know. *Jason David Frank will NOT be playing the main character. However...he will be playing someone important to the main character.* Warning: There are scenes of depression, attempted suicide, brief sexual content, graphic violence, and strong language. Note: I do not own any of the characters from Saban's Power Rangers. I only own the story-line of the character Tommy Oliver(who I don't own...but totally wish I did...because he's awesome).
