Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤: He wants to live in a story, Really? He should have asked himself before leaving, lying. So, the wind asked, "Really, a story?" He nodded to himself, "yeah, life's just so..." "Unfair, cruel, painful, unforgivable." It whispered. He sat thinking, "always." As he runs away from his problems, his 'unforgivable' life. He finds a library, finally. Solace. Books, the one thing he cold understand without second guesses, without having to worry about lies, hurt, betrayal. He takes out a book, pure white. He opens it, it's all blank not a dot of ink in sight. He flips to the back. An encryption, he traces. Dot-to-dot. Then it flies. The centre of the old library. As he walks towards it, he sees a portal fade into existence. He walks through, There. There it was. A fantasy, a real-life story. A world Koris hopes is true every minute he lives in it, pleading each day it won't disappear or be taken away from him. He takes on a duty, he lies, he uses magic to make right wrong, justifying his actions. Words change people. The Isles, they say, are to be forever peaceful, forever united in words, but what if the words backstab, instead of describing a beautiful scene, you rewrite it to inflict pain, woe, sadness, anger. The Isle, they say, Will never change, maybe not now. Maybe not now, but someday, sometime it will...

I thought I was normal. That's what I was always led to believe anyways. But then one day a portal opened up in my closet and someone yanked me onto the other side. Now I'm stuck in a different world where apparently magic exists and I'm one of the ten people who can use all forms of it. Crazy, right? A two weeks ago I was a depressed 14 year old kid from Texas. Now I'm a confused and depressed 14 year old from Texas that has magic abilities I can barley control. Funny how quickly things can go from "meh, my life kinda sucks" to "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!" in a matter of seconds. Now I have to end a freaking war. I only have one question really. What did I get myself into by being born???
