Saoirse Conners grew up in the traveller community in Ireland, but as she grew older and the war raged on she felt she could no longer sit by and watch men die. So, she did her part, she became a nurse and went straight to France where she was mentally and physically put to the test as she witnessed unimaginable horrors and patched up men on the brink of death, one of which being the infamous Thomas Shelby. What will happen when a year later Saoirse moves to Birmingham and is again confronted by Mr Shelby? Will there opposing personalities clash or will they find comfort in one another?
