Everyone has a mask that they put on to hide away their true intentions or emotions, the most common mask is a smile, a simple facial gesture to help others around them feel more at ease or to let their guard down. Just because you know a smile doesn't mean you know what's going on underneath, a smile is a valuable tool so that no matter the circumstances you are always the one in control.
What happens when Issei fails to call Rias by her name and all his friends begin to berate him for not understanding her feelings. He begins to break down into tears as he wonders why his friends turned against him. Overwhelmed with heartbreak and sadness he almost goes into the Juggernaut Drive that is until Ddraig intervenes and offers his partner a solution. That is to go to another universe with his memories sealed away and to start a new life. What happens to our  Sekiryūtei when he arrives into a new world that filled with shinigami and demonic soul like beings called hollows, on top on being turned back into a child? Will he forever live out this everlasting dream he placed himself in or will he wake up and face his past and trauma like the Blazing Soldier he was meant to become.

A day after Riser's defeat Issei realizes that his victory over the third son of the house of Phenex was by sure luck and begins to feel that his luck will soon run out. Beginning to feel frustrated at himself for being weak and wanting more power in order to protect what he cares about is enough to awaken the legendary wielder of the boosted gear who is even stronger than both the "official" strongest wielders of the boosted gear. Now with the new fiery determination to become the strongest will Issei become the crimson inferno that he was meant to be or a great disaster waiting to be unleashed. Either way the brown haired boy will slay all who threaten him and those he treasures.
