Marinette had been just waiting for the moment when Lila struck again. But she didn't expect to lose so much at once when she is accused first of cheating on an exam, pushing Lila down the stairs, and stealing from Lila as well. Expelled from the school and haven nearly escaped becoming akumatized, Marinette starts to lose hope in ever getting back the life that was once hers. Every one of her friends have fallen into Lila's net of lies, all except for Adrien, who can't do much to help her. Her parents don't believe her, and can't even see her without radiating disappointment and disapproval. So everyone has turned on Marinette believing Lila's lies. Adrien is a jerk and doesn't defend Marinette basically saying that the liers feelings are more important than his friends. Marinette moves on from them but them being the idiots they are continue to bully her. They demand that she continues to give her free stuff. Then they push it too far getting Marinette akumatised. What will they do with no ladybug to purify the akuma. Will Chat Noir still keep his miraculous. Heartbreak, crushes no more, friend loss are all in this book. This was it! She failed. Marinette had failed in life, she had failed to defeat Lila and Chloe like she had planned. There on the cover page and on the news were Adrien and Lila, exclaiming their relationship to everyone of Paris. If she had been smarter; if she had knew what Lila and Chloe were planning, then all her friends, all of Paris, even Adrien, wouldn't have gone against her. Now she knew their plan, but it was already too late. Lila lit the match and threw it at the curtain, lighting it with fire. She and Chloe laughed and walked out of the room, making sure to lock it. With every strength she had left, Marinette banged on the door, hoping someone would come and save her. No one came to her rescue as the room was lit in fire, burning everything in it, along with Marinette. But what happens when a sudden miracle happens? What happens when Marinette is pushed back into time, where she, Chloe and Lila are still at war? What happens when she's given a second chance? "If you're gonna trust me once, please let it be this time." Adrien urged her as he stood in the door frame, his tone was gentle but urgent, and he shut the door. Ladybug collapsed and called off her transformation, revealing her civilian self. Her chest heaved with heavy sobs that escaped her body and she lowered herself to the floor. Tightening her arms around herself, she cried out. - He took a deep breath in, held it and then released it. He repeated it a second time. "I'm sorry, Ladybug. I can't just listen to you cry." He threw open the door, his eyes shut tightly. He lowered himself to the floor in front of her, settling down on his knees and extending his arms outwards. He kept his eyes shut and listened for any movement from her. - "You're not alone through this."
