As much as I loved the Warrior Cat series (credit Erin Hunter), there was always just one thing I was reading them for; Clan life. The problem is, whenever there finally was a book focused on the everyday tasks of the Clan cats, I would find myself bored. That got me thinking; what am I really looking for?

The answer? The scale of the conflict doesn't matter. The amount of magic doesn't matter. What matters is the characters within. Their flaws, their lives, their loves.
