Gail Glossier is an actress and the daughter of the CEO of Glossier Industries, one of the most powerful weapon-manufacturing companies around the globe. Six years ago, she had run off to London due to the suffocating environment she had been entrapped living in in the U.S. However, now she's back to serve an ultimatum-she was going to decide whether to settle down in New York or London. However, due to an increase in attacks targeted at high-class families, once she has come back to New York, Gail is forced to have a bodyguard. To worsen things, Gail's new bodyguard has some very strong, negative opinions on her, and annoys the living daylights out of her.

Cyrus Callahan is the son of the director of the FBI. Having been challenged by his father that he would not be able to survive without him, Cyrus quit his job in the FBI out of spite. He finds a job as the bodyguard of a notoriously reputed woman. From all he's heard about her, he finds her to be an entitled brat. However, he is forced to stay and work as her bodyguard, while she vows to make him as miserable as she can.

Gail and Cyrus despise each other, and make each other completely miserable. However, the misery that they cause each other slowly evolves into them being heartily miserable for each other.
