In the year 2304, The Manhattan Wasteland stood as a desolate expanse, its once-thriving streets now echoing with the haunting cries of despair. Humanity had abandoned this forsaken land, deeming it unfit for survival. The remnants of civilization clung to existence, their fragile settlements constantly under threat from ruthless raiders.

The Manhattan Brotherhood of Steel (B.O.S.), once a beacon of hope, had been reduced to a mere shadow of its former glory. Their ranks decimated after The Battle of One World Trade Center, where the iconic skyscraper became a grim battleground for warring factions. The very heart of Manhattan now bore the scars of conflict, its shattered windows reflecting the fractured state of the wasteland.

But amidst the chaos, whispers spread-a glimmer of hope that would defy the wasteland's grim fate. Four mysterious figures emerged from the shadows, their origins shrouded in secrecy. Each possessed unique abilities, relics of a forgotten past. They wielded power beyond comprehension, and their motives remained enigmatic.

As alliances shifted and old grudges resurfaced, these enigmatic individuals rose to prominence. Their goal: to save the wasteland from its inexorable descent into oblivion. But could they overcome their own inner demons and unite against the encroaching darkness? In Fallout: Stories From The Manhattan Wasteland, their intertwined destinies unfold-a tapestry of survival, sacrifice, and redemption.

Prepare to journey through the irradiated ruins, where hope flickers like a dying ember. For in this unforgiving landscape, legends are born, and the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

In the year 2102, a young survivor navigates the vast, desolate stretches of a wasteland-an inhospitable landscape marred by the scars of devastation and chaos. The air is thick with the acrid scent of decay, and the bleached bones of abandoned structures jut out from the ground like the skeletal remains of a bygone civilization. This grim world teems with threats at every corner: shadowy raiders keen on ambush lurk among the debris, grotesque mutants wander the barren terrain with twisted features that reflect the horrors of their existence, and monstrous sea creatures, evolved and grotesque, glide through the poisoned waters that once nurtured life. Hostile tribes are in constant conflict, fiercely competing for control of the meager resources that remain-a flickering light in an otherwise dark reality. Each faction is driven by desperation, willing to do anything to survive in this brutal landscape. As he trudges through the remnants of a shattered world, the survivor grapples with external dangers that lurk at every turn, but also with the haunting solitude that envelops him, a constant reminder of the catastrophic bombings that have decimated humanity. With every weary step he takes, he weighs his choices carefully, contemplating their impact on both himself and the remnants of a world in ruins. What lies ahead is not only a fight for survival but also the possibility of forging a legend amid the ashes of a fallen civilization, a testament to resilience in the face of despair.

Follow the story of Orion as he confronts his past and future in a grim hellscape of a wasteland decades after the Courier's victory at Hoover Dam sent the Mojave into chaos. My Philosophy behind the writing of this story: So, this is my first time writing a story, since the 6th grade at least. You can tell by how much I improve the formatting past chapter 10 lol. Anway, I think many people found DUST's loony edgyness to be a negative. And I get it, despite my love for the mod, I can see why people might think it's childishly bleak even if it explains why things are the way they are well. So with that being said, one day I was listening to the Jeff the Killer episode of Creepcast in the shower. And in it, they mention that A. It's very edgy, and B. It's cold open kinda falls flat. Immediately, my mind turned to DUST, it too is over the top edgy with a cold open. That gave me the idea; could I write a better cold opening than this old internet creepypasta? So I did (i will at least give myself that), which then made me think about the first point; could I write a story that's over the top edgy, but still had a good narrative? That's what made the character of Orion, the protagonist. My main inspirations for him were the Red Dead series , The Ghoul from the tv show, and interestingly; Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. If you're familiar with any of these, you've probably noticed that they all have edgy, or at least hyper self serious aspects to them. But they are also self critical of those elements. This story aims to do that; tell a badass flashy story that takes itself seriously, while also making sure to show it's flaws, without making a flawed narrative. And in the end, create a tale of hope prospering in the darkest places of the world. If you enjoy the bleakness of DUST or even the original fallouts, I think you'll enjoy this story. And if you enjoy the campier and more inspiring aspects of the bethesda titles, I think you'll also enjoy this story.

What happens when two heavily interconnected societies suddenly go to war out of nowhere? What happens when that war lasts for over 6 years? What happens when one side of the war is completely cut off from their home world? Kalimaria is a planet that was discovered a long time ago. Through ancient portal technology the planet was discovered by humans and earth. The inhabitants of this planet were a race of anthropomorphic alien creatures that resembled what most people in the modern age call "anthros" or "furries." Humanity, despite everything, managed to coexist and even integrate this highly intelligent alien species into our society and also help bolster the Kalimarian world's own technological advancements. For over 80 years the two species coexisted with only minor skirmishes between humans and Kalimarians occurring. That is until the war happened. A war that many question the true motives behind. Was it to protect the sovereignty of the Kalimarian species and its people? Was it to gain power and influence over people of the planet? This no one could truly answer. The war however started and all of humanity on that planet was stuck there as the portals that once allowed free travel between the two worlds was shut down. Scott Caine, a once proud member of the U.S. Army was now stuck here with the forces that had been cutoff from earth and the United States. A young man who had been forced to do things he shouldn't have had to do. A man given little choice in what life brought him.

Cover by @Woofy291 Prologue War... War never changes... When the bombs fell during the Great War in 2077, and atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in giant vaults. When these vaults finally their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, forming tribes. As decades passed, what had been the American Southwest united beneath the flag of the New California Republic, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of law. As the Republic grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread east, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Mojave Desert. They returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world. And a great wall spanning the Colorado River. The NCR mobilized its army and sent it east to occupy the Hoover Dam and restore it to working condition. But across the Colorado, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged from the conquest of 86 tribes: Caesar's Legion. Four years have passed since the Republic held the Dam - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, it gathers strength. Campfires burned, and training drums beat. Through it all, the New Vegas Strip has stayed open for business under the control of its mysterious overseer, Mr. House, and his army of rehabilitated Tribals and police robots. While all this was going on two people lived their lives. Loona, a hellhound and slave of Vulpes Inculta dragged to Nipton as her master made plans to destroy to town. And a courier working for the Mojave Express, who had been selected to deliver the Platinum Chip only to be caught by a man named Benny and left for dead in the Goodsprings Cemetery. Little did anyone know, but these two unassuming people would come together and be to ones to change to fate of the entire Mojave Wasteland... I do not own Helluva boss of Fallout New Vegas.
