"Cindy please. I need to see you one last time." My mother whispered to me, calling my name. Tears streaming down my face, I slowly walked over to her hospital bed. She took my small little hand in hers, "Forgive me, I don't want to leave you, but I have to. Please tell me you understand." I was silent. "Cindy please..." I hugged her with all my might, but still fairly softly because she was so sick. "I understand mommy. I don't want to, and I don't like it, but I understand." I cried. My father rested an arm around my shoulder as we cried quietly, not ready to let my mother go. After a little while I felt her underneath me ease a little, then slump more into her chair, and I cried harder, not ready to let her go, but knowing she was already gone.
