Legacy of the Sage

For centuries, they fought, one chasing the other in a never-ending cycle. The deaths of millions went in vain for those that followed them to bring peace. They turned on each other. The never-ending cycle of chases continued only when one fell and the other rose. Not once were they together. After the succession of power, the cycle that was in continuous motion finally took pause. When the cries of the sun reached the heavens on the night of death, a life was brought, a life that gave light to even the darkest of beings, but not without paying the price of being a sacrifice for his land and the sacrifice of his own blood.

On the night of death, a soul of darkness cried. Once it heard the cries of the sun, those around the soul never figured out why it cried. The once silent soul cried for the whole night, but only when the sun rose did it stop to cry.

On the day when the sun was swallowed by the moon casting a shadow on the land, a gentle soul was born blessed by the moon. A soul that brightened everyone around even on the day of darkness. As the soul came to be opened with its pure white eyes, the sky cleared, the shadow of the moon moved, and the sun yet again gave light down on the land.

Three different souls are bound together in a twist of fate. This was a legacy of the Sages, a story of when balance needs to be brought back. Even Yin and Yang can become one.
