Maple's stable job, attractive looks and the ability to make friends quickly were almost enough for her to live life on easy mode. Almost. If only the unassuming normalcy was reflected by what was happening inside her brain. Still, she was able to fly under the radar with her perverted fantasies and passion for the macabre most of her life. Unfortunately, happenstance led to a dangerous event that she reacted to in a way that was considered "wrong." This set off a spiral of events during which men in suits decided she did not deserve control of her own life.
