Obanai Iguro confessed his love to her when they were both dying. Crying, she accepted his confession and told him she also loved him. She and him made a promise if they ever reborn a human, they'd get married. They both died together, with Iguro wrapping his arm around her so tight that they had to be buried together.

And to add on, she was the younger sister of the Shadow Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Akane Haizaki. Yet, she was considered one of the most trusted member of the Demon Slayer Corps, allowed to attend the Pillar Meeting and understand the situation that was going on.
