Project Overview:
The DPR (Detailed Project Report) for Raya Heritage City, a 9,350-hectare international world-class city near Mathura-Vrindavan, has been finalized.
The city will be developed on the lines of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and will be even better than Ahmedabad and Jaipur Heritage Cities.
It will be connected to all the villages associated with Lord Krishna's life.
A 7-km greenfield expressway will connect it to Vrindavan and a 12-km expressway to Gokul.
The project will cost around Rs 6,270 crore, including Rs 800 crore for the expressways and Rs 5,470 crore for the city.
Key Features:
Art museum and 12 Kathavacha Nyayalay (courts) for religious discourses
Commercial and hospitality facilities
Largest transport hub in the area, capable of parking 40-50,000 vehicles daily
Gurukul schools, museum, Naturopathy center (Dhanvantari Dham), cultural arena, and oxygen arena
Excellent connectivity via Yamuna Expressway, State Highway, railways, and proposed bullet train

Next Steps:
The project is currently in the planning stage and the government is expected to invite bids for construction soon.
