"One day you'll learn to love me."

"In your dreams, Valdez."

Laylana Jackson's world was shattered the moment her brother went missing. The adopted daughter of Sally Jackson, the only demigod daughter of Erebus, the god of darkness, searched endlessly for him since he went missing. When she travels with her brother's girlfriend to the Grand Canyon, only to find three older demigods instead of Percy, she curses the gods' names. Even more so when she becomes involved in the newbies quest, in turn being involved in the Great Prophecy.

NOTE: I have aged up the characters about a year, making Percy and Annabeth 17, Laylana, Jason, Leo, and Piper are 16, Frank and Hazel are around 14-15, Nico is about 15. Just makes their cursing and teenage behavior more relatable and understandable lol

All characters (except Laylana) belong to author Rick Riordan!!!

Nearly five years ago, the Clone Wars ended with a purge that wiped an entire people from the galaxy. Jess, formerly known as CC-9976, a member of the 21st Nova Corps, shot down his Jedi general in accordance with Order 66. Now, Jess finds himself a stormtrooper for the Galactic Empire. The Empire is not the Republic that he was once so proud to serve. Jess finds himself being tested in ways he never was before. As the Empire tightens its fist around the galaxy, Jess makes the decision to escape. Jess makes his way out of Imperial control and, eventually, into the hands of the Rebellion. War is all he's ever known. Whether he is a clone, an Imperial soldier, or a Rebel fighter, one fact remains. He is a trooper and war is in his blood. Ryn Alera has only known slavery throughout her life. The last place she expected to find help was with the Empire. When Ryn is due to serve the rest of her life on Kessel, she makes a stand for her freedom. When a rogue stormtrooper helps her escape, Ryn finds herself trapped in a whirlwind of war and danger. Gradually, she adjusts to her new life on the run, and later, in the Rebellion. As she grows closer with Jess, the man who helped her escape, her values begin to change. She wasn't born a fighter, but if the galaxy's freedom requires it, she will be a soldier. Warning This book, while being a work of fiction, still contains real elements and deals with the subject of war. There will be chapters that deal with abuse, death, slight gore, etc. (Canon characters as well as planets within the Star Wars universe are not created by me. I only take credit for my original characters and this story.)
