With an abusive prostitute as a mother and an alcoholic as a father, Tess decides she's finally had enough. She packs her bags and heads out the door, vowing to never come back. She believed she could run away from her troubles, but she soon finds out that running only makes it worse.
She falls into the hands of drugs and self-harm and she feels she can't escape. Every time she thinks she's finally gotten away from it, it just comes back twice as strong.
She seeks help, but will anybody really be able to help her?

Harsh and raspy; His voice bombed with power as he clenched his fists in rage. The young girl stumbled over her bare feet, her heart about to explode out of her chest. I like inflicting pain. Not on others but on myself. Some people would call me depressed but I'm not. If anything the pain makes me happy. I started "self harming" at the mere age of nine.
