Serenity James is thrusted into a predicament after meeting Prince Jackson at a toy drive held by his foundation Heal Los Angeles. What was supposed to be a casual business meeting pertaining to the ways she could help stir the foundation in an even more positive direction, turns into a completely different direction. When they find themselves sharing more than just business notes.

Prince, who is already spoken for, is soon reminded of the woman he has spent the last few years of his life with when she abruptly interrupts the heated moment he and Serenity had been sharing. Ending their lunch, he leaves with the thought that maybe work with Serenity isn't the best idea. But when another chance encounter comes to bring them together, Prince can't help but wonder if Serenity is worth throwing his entire relationship away of if meeting her has revealed the truth that he'd been running from? That his heart no longer is in the relationship he's been holding on to for the sake of being not wanting to be alone.
