"Do not forget that you owe me, Raphael, I gave you the Netherese crown only for a debt repaid for the future. I am calling it in. You will allow me safe passage back to Metzoborazin and if the Ascendant should follow me as you say he will then I require protection. I fell for his quick wit and charms quite easily the first time we met. He is much stronger, swifter, and more dangerous. I can not allow myself to slip back into the abyss that I'm trying so hard to climb out of. I will sacrifice my memories as you have asked to veil your name, but I require insurance of my own; a warding spell. With all the power you've accumulated, I am sure you could at the very least warn me of his pursuits." "Did you ever regret it? Damning all of those souls for him?" "Do we an accord or not, Devil?" "You are no fun. Yes, little spawn. You have a deal." It was five years since Sinil Sorn and her band saved the Sword Coast from the Grand Design, its cruel and vicious villainy at the cusp of coming to fruition. At the beginning of the end of the Illithid empire, Sinil and Astarion began their new rule at the Szarr palace, scraping what they could to rebuild Baldurs Gate after its near destruction. As time passed Sinil became more closed off from the world she grew fond of. A dilemma sparking amidst the palace; something she knew was not possible rising from the dark depths and bringing chaos to her relationship with her Master. Would it break the bonds that were forged in the fires of the Underdark or would it snap like cheap metal under too much pressure? Instead of leaving her fate in the hands of others, Sinil decides to take matters into her own hands. She will do as she has always done; she will save herself. In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her.
