At Odds

Esme Calloway has a love-hate relationship with lacrosse; it's her passion, but she doesn't want to spend every free second on it. Just studying. She is always studying. Parties were never her scene. On the other hand, Alejandro Aguilar is UGA's air-headed quarterback. He eats, sleeps, and breathes football with a side of parties. Because of his lack of dual commitment, his grades suffer. Terribly. As one of the top athletes in the country, Alex's grades were a reflection of his work ethic and ability to balance his responsibilities. UGA wanted to save face, so they hired their top student, Esme. Esme had already encountered him a while back when she'd caught his eye at a party. She never liked attention, and all Alex seemed to do was bring the people who worshipped the ground he walked on and then some. Alex had never had a girl catch his eye the way Esme did, let alone magnetize him. When the school volunteers Esme as one of his potential tutors, Alex doesn't give the others a second thought. Now, Esme is stuck and quite annoyed that the school volun-told her to tutor him, but Alex is over the moon. Alex is convinced he can win her over, but Esme has to give herself reasons not to fall for him. The odds are shifting.
