Survival in the wild is always difficult, but it is made even more difficult when Pearl's pelt color stands out so much. Even her Tribemates seem unable to forget her oddities, and the course of her life is decided forever because of them.
But little does anyone in the Lake Tribe know, Pearl's biggest trial stalks her from the shadows, waiting and watching to strike- Not because of her pelt, but for vengeance.
This story takes place before Warrior Eevees #1, the Storm of Fire. You do not have to read it to fully understand the plot, but I recommend reading it first due to its introductory nature.

It was around 150 years ago, when a war broke out among the 8 Eeveelution kingdoms. It was started by the Jolteon kingdom, as a war between themselves and the Vaporeon kingdom. The other kingdoms, excluding the Umbreon kingdom, joined sides with the Vaporeons, and nearly wiped out the Jolteon species completely. The Espeons mined out most, if not all of the thunder stones nearby, and hid them away. That was 150 years ago now. Jolteons are an incredibly rare sight these days. The other Eevees and Eeveelutions have been taught over the years that Jolteons are evil and soulless, and that evolving into one will change your mind for the worse, as well as being a sin against Arceus. Now, about 6 years ago, a couple exploring an old mine discovered one of the very few remaining thunder stones. They brought it home with them, but not without being spotted. Just a week later, they were forced to run away to protect their son from being discovered. They left both him, and the thunder stone behind.
