"Energy, or matter, can never be created or destroyed." The boy smiled. The scientists looked at each other, raising an eyebrow and questioning him under their breath. "Scientists theorized that their new drugs would cure 99% of all birth defects. Some said it was ambitious, and very few went for it. Everything went smoothly- no one died from the drugs, there were no nasty side effects in the infants or the mothers. Everything was perfect." The second man, the taller, lankier one, continued, his soft voice almost putting the guards at ease. They caught on and held on tighter to their weapons, keeping their eyes and guns trained on the two males, even though they were both chained to the table. He continued, folding his fingers together. "Until the genes that caused birth defects mutated." "It can only be changed from one form to another." The first boy stated, finishing the famous Einstein quote. "Don't give us a history lesson!" The doctor finally snapped, slamming his hands down on the table with a snarl, an angry look on his face as he barred his teeth like an upset animal. The two boys simply grinned. All Rights Reserved
