"I guess if you keep building walls to protect yourself, you eventually end up unable to climb over them..."

In the Suribashi district, at the heart of Yokohama's concession, sixteen-year-old Toru Amane lives a life as solitary as it is secretive. In this place scarred by the Arahabaki explosion, whose old wounds still haunt it nearly seventeen years later, Toru is an enigmatic figure. The few people who cross her path only know that she arrived in the neighborhood four years ago. Where did she come from? How did she end up here? Questions without answers.

Rather reserved, she keeps others at a distance. However, the criminals prowling Yokohama's streets soon realized she wasn't an easy target. For Toru possesses a powerful ability: telekinesis. This gift has become more than just a means of defense-it shapes her encounters, her alliances, and draws her inexorably toward unexpected fates.

An INTJ through and through, Toru longs only for peace and discretion. Far from wanting to get involved in other people's affairs, she prefers to survive in her own way, earning her keep as a bounty hunter-a job she's rather good at and one that stays mostly within the boundaries of morality (at least she tries). Yet even the walls she's built may not be enough to protect her from what awaits...

(My first fanfic, I hope you'll like it! Apologies if there are any errors 🤐)

Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya were sixteen when they first fell into something resembling love. It wasn't gentle or simple-how could it be, for two boys born in blood and bound by violence? Their connection was as jagged as broken glass, held together by the friction of their sharp edges. In a world of treachery and shadow, they found a fleeting solace in each other, something tender amidst the chaos. But love, like everything else in their lives, wasn't built to last. Two years later, Dazai shattered Chuuya's trust in a way only he could-cruel, deliberate, and devastatingly precise. He left without explanation, without warning, and without looking back, leaving Chuuya to pick up the pieces of a heart carved hollow. That was when everything began to unravel. In the absence of Dazai's calculated brilliance, the Port Mafia's violence escalated. What had once been a shadowy empire of calculated control became a relentless machine of destruction. Cities burned, lives crumbled, and the Mafia's sins grew too large to be ignored. Chuuya, already drowning in the weight of his heartbreak, found himself thrust deeper into the chaos, his name etched in crimson as a symbol of the Mafia's unstoppable power. Then came the breaking point. The government, long complicit through its silence, finally declared war on the Port Mafia. The order was absolute: disband the organization and execute its members without exception. Chuuya's name was at the top of every list, his reputation as a devastating force cementing him as the ultimate target. Now, hunted from all sides, Chuuya stands alone, a fugitive in a crumbling world. The man who once loved him is a ghost, haunting the shadows of his memory, while the sins of his past close in with every step. As the weight of survival presses down on him, a single question burns in his mind: **Can he escape the shadows of his own making, or will the abyss finally claim him?**

A short chuckle left him. He then squatted back down like previously, his eyes staring straight at my eyes. "The endless pit of darkness pooling at the orbs of your irises. Overflowing and pushing away any light that dared to approach. With one look, you're able to bring others down to their knees... The eyes of a killer. The eyes of a predator." Another chuckle left him. "Really... After saying so much about not belonging to the Port Mafia, don't you ever think? Think that you actually belong to the dark side?"
