The Power Within: A Werecats Novelette [discontinued]

Long ago, before the time of the Werecats, there were Spirit Shifters. Instead of the typical black panther, they would shift into the form of their Spirit Animal. Many centuries passed and the Spirit Shifters began to loose touch with themselves. Anything from technology advances to finding true love made them lose touch. Generations later the Spirit Shifters had one remaining gene to shift into. A black panther. While most would think the spirit animals had faded long ago, they're still there. Ever present and knowing. Samuel (Sam) was gifted with an amazing gift. Typical Werecats can control different elements or shift the weather, but Samuel was given the powerful gift of Sight. Sight, or True Sight, gives Samuel the power to sense and communicate with Spirit Animals. Spirit Animals match a person's, human or Werecat's, personality. Samuel has lost hopes about the Spirit Shifters, but when a young Werecat enters Samuel's life he feels something he hasn't felt in a long time. Hope. Hope for the Spirit Animals and the connection that ties them to our world.
