She was devastated when she got the news. Her brother was KIA in a mission. She cried for days, didn't eat and just rotted away in bed. Not knowing how to cope this news.
After the funeral happened, she went to visit his grave daily. She wasn't at the funeral itself, she couldn't do it. It was too hard for her. It's been 6 months since his death now. She slowly walks towards his grave, sitting down. She sits there quietly for a few minutes.
''Im gonna follow your footsteps Johnny... Im joining the military.'' She says softly after a few minutes. Her bag already with her, visiting his grave one last time before joining. Something in her says she shouldn't but she wants to, for her brother. She stands up and wipes her tears away. ''I love you Johnny.. This is for you..''. She says as she looks at his grave one last time and turns around to leave.

A slowburn-ish soapxreader story i made for fun (first time yay) COMPLETED+MINORS DNI all cover credits to 661ave on tik tok!! they make the best COD renderings. Reader is a solider working for the Shadow Company at Graves orders. The mission was to find, maybe fuck, and kill Soap, Ghosts only friend; without Soap Ghost would be a shell of a man and unable to use his strengths again the Shadow Companys bigger plan. But along the way things get a little south as you are instead taken as a hostage to the 141 at their base. Learning you were betrayed by Phillip Graves you join the 141 to help them out to get closer to Graves to kill him and escape the military all together with Benning, who may or may not be alive. It's not very lore accurate and loosely takes place during MW2. The most iinspo i got plot wise is the cold war campaign so if ykkk ;) At the beginning there was more POV variation; by the end i stuck with 2nd pov. mc is a little of self insert and annoying, dont worry.
