There are two ways one could get put into the Huger Games Arena: by being reaped or by volunteering. But there's only one way to come out of it: to survive.

The survival of the fittest, they said... well then, let the Games begin!

What would you do if your sibling got reaped into the Games? 

Most people would cry, or be sad, maybe even angry, or at least feel some sort of strong emotion, in some kind of pre-mourning way. 

Josh Klinton, on the other hand, decides to volunteer to go in with his sister and make sure she comes out victorious.

Everyone's always going on and on about the terribleness of the Games and the hardships the tributes go through in order to come out as Victors. But no one ever really mentions just how winning fucks with you. 

Turns out becoming a Victor is the easy part. It's what comes after that really tests you, for only a select few can tell exactly what is the price of survival.

None of them ever expected to be reaped, none of them thought they were going to be forced into fragile alliances for their very survival. They never expected that they would be thrown into the Hunger Games where they would have to fight to the death- and only one would survive. Vikk and Harry were forced together out of fear, being some of the youngest tributes. Mitch and Jerome had been friends since childhood and when one volunteered for the other, they knew they would go together. Preston, Rob and Lachlan allied because they felt alone and needed someone to fight with. Josh and Simon were from different districts but allied to have a better chance. The Hunger Games created relationships and then tore then all down- all for entertainment- panem et circenses. {This is a Wroetostar, Merome, Pooflan and Minizerk book and take place during the 74th Hunger Games.
