It's the year 5078... or would be. The world was reset to the year 2003 by a powerful entity, the Mythic King. At the start of 5072 a small number of a beast called a Mythic started to appear and the world slowly became overrun. Humans, not wanting to give up created the Conservation Corps.

That brings us to our main character, Tae-Yung. He was an orphan from South Korea. He was relatively lonely, but a mysterious bizarre looking woman recruited him to the Conservation Corps. Having nothing to lose he joined.
