Annabeth is immediately intrigued by the new camper. He's a bit older than the usual newcomers but then again, Thalia was 23 and still hung around. They start hanging out together, and Annabeth admits that she could be catching feels for him.
Soon a quest is called for and Annabeth gets to lead it. Although the prophecy that comes with it warns of a traitor in their midst. Even with this warning, Annabeth is confident she can handle it. 
But she soon finds that there is more at work here than she realizes . . .

Annabeth grit her teeth but didn't struggle. They couldn't win this fight. And the worst part? She totally saw it coming. This is an au where Jason turns the Greeks over to the Romans instead of cooperating, and the resulting conflict ensues. Can the Greeks and Romans work together?
