It's Not All Roses

For Roselyn, being struck by lightning would be easier to bear than facing a quarter-life crisis and heartbreak all at once. Sometimes, she even wonders... maybe her quarter-life crisis isn't really about life at all, but about the pieces of her heart still trying to heal.

Back then, she thought that the hardest part about relationships was simply finding someone to call her own. She believed that once she got past that first step, everything else would unfold with ease. What she never expected was that the real battle was not in stumbling upon it, but in keeping it from slipping through her fingers.

Independence became her escape---one of her ways to find herself and to mend her broken heart.

That was the only part she was meant to take on---chase the one running away. But she suddenly found herself trapped in a situation she now wishes to escape from.

A loop she cannot break, now slowly haunting her bit by bit.
