The person on the other end spoke curtly,

She sat up with a jolt, instantly recognizing the voice she hadn't heard in two years. Without wasting a moment, she practically leaped out of bed and dashed towards her car. She moved with lightning speed, desperate to reach the café as quickly as possible.
