A terminally ill person could only live for so long, and Icarus knew that his numbered days were up. When death finally came knocking at his door, he only had one regret in life: leaving behind an unfinished novel, not knowing the fate of the character that piqued his interest. When a mysterious entity offered him an opportunity to be a random background character in the novel and personally witness its progress, he accepted it. Surely, nothing will go wrong, right?
One system error later, Icarus, now bound to a cannon fodder who's destined to die at the hands of the villain, regretted it. Armed with insufficient knowledge about the novel's plot and its characters, could Icarus successfully change the course of his doomed fate?
