I Come With Knives (and Agony) | ᴋɪᴍᴇᴛsᴜ ɴᴏ ʏᴀɪʙᴀ

Tomioka Giyū; a name known by everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps. A name either held with contempt or gazed upon with uncertain apprehension.

Tomioka Giyū; a demon slayer at 13, promoting to the rank of Tsuchinoe within seven months, becoming Hinoe within another three. Achieves the rank of Kinoe after a total of 27 months at 16. Becomes the Water Hashira after a mere month after that.

A prodigy; a cheat; a workaholic; a weirdo. There are many names preceding the Water Hashira, especially in the years after becoming a Hashira.

Giyū didn't care... well, she wouldn't care if she paid any attention to the what people say about her, like how she doesn't know almost everyone believes she's a boy, not a girl.

She doesn't belong with the other Hashira. She's only good at killing demons, and she'll continue to kill demons until she dies. So, she doesn't care what people think of her. She doesn't care what names they call her.

But. There is one name, one word, Giyū knows she isn't. Insane. She is not insane. She is not crazy. She is not a murderer. She is notnotnotnotnot-

She's forced all memories of THAT away. It's done and gone. Unfortunately the universe says otherwise.

Or, Giyū had actually been taken to a mental institution before she manages to escape after Tsutako dies. This had happened and everything sort of... changes.

This idea just popped into my head and spread like a fungus, so here we are. I don't really know where it's going, but I want to explore this possibility, so let's all enjoy this rollercoaster of a fic.

The title is also the name of a song by IAMX, "I Come With Knives" and the vibe of this song is *chef's kiss* for this story. Updates will be posted on Tuesdays.
