The Distance Between Us

Lee Seoho is the son of a chaebol family that runs the SK Group. One summer he is sent to Japan undercover as an intern for the company. While in Japan, he meets Kang Yumi. Yumi is staying at her grandmother's for the summer to help out at her grandmother's noodle restaurant. As she learns more about her heritage and the skills of becoming a chef, she falls for the mysterious boy who keeps appearing at her grandmother's restaurant who always requests the same dish. An unlikely friendship between the two develops, over the course of the summer.

Ahn Ji Han, Yumi's best friend since childhood is a happy kid who always cheers Yumi up whenever things get tough. He is her supporter and always remains by her side. That is until one day he finds out that his time is limited on this earth. For the remainder of his life, Ji Han vows to keep Yumi happy even if it means keeping his crush to himself.
