"Kingdom of Lynn, Kingdom of Alder, Kingdom of Thatcher, Kingdom of Caddell, and Kingdom of Solace lived in peace 1000 years ago until the Kingdom of Thatcher attacked. At the end of the war, the Solace Kingdom disappeared, and it was assumed they were wiped out. However, the war gave birth to the Super-naturals, individuals with strange abilities. Although only 7 percent of each kingdom possessed these powers, they rarely revealed themselves. Now, a group called the Anti-Naturals has emerged, sparking another war and slowly killing off royals from the different kingdoms, plunging the world back into violence and unrest."

Mariah Caddell might be royalty, but she can't stand the whole princess act - no dresses or tiaras for her. She's pumped when her older bro, the famous Crown Prince, is about to become king. Finally, she thinks, she can live her life without all the royal drama.

But then, her brother goes and ties the knot with some foreign noble, leaving Mariah as the only heir to the throne. Suddenly, she's Queen Mariah, and she's not sure she's up for it. Despite her brother Dorian's attempts to help her understand her new role, and ends up feeling blue
