Almost a year after the objects began their lives in Yoyle City, Leafy is still hanging around the outskirts of the boarder. It hasn't been too bad, and it isn't even that lonely anymore! It's been about a month since she had saved Firey from that cage and, despite chasing them both down when they had first caught her, the residents of the city haven't cared enough to do any more than add Firey to the "kill on sight" rule that they already had for Leafy.

But when one fateful night results in Firey having to beg them to ignore the rule just this once, the lemon leaf finally realizes that she isn't a lemon leaf at all! Everything--Dream Island, the contest, her friendships, her enemies--were all nothing but a wild dream. But even in the real world there's problems; when one of her friends disappear without a trace, she and the rest of her party set out to find him. There's one more issue, though... There's somebody lurking, watching, and causing problems for them every step of the way.

Their goal?

Teach Leafy to be what she always has been and has already learned to be...
