The grand continent of Karteno is a continent, struggling altogether to overcome calamities that have become all to common. 

Rafael, a bounty chef whose job is to capture and prepare rare specimens for consumption, comes into contact with a certain specimen.  Realizing the sentience of such creatures a question comes into his mind: Is this a culture of culinary excellence or a masquerade of genocide? Inquiring with himself, he sets out to discover what the world has chosen to kill and consume, and a dark past behind it's actions. 

*A combination of an initial draft that I had formulated in my freshman fiction writing class with cooking. This will definitely be a rollercoaster of a ride as I learn how to write in this style as I'm relatively new to the fantasy field(this being especially hard after adding steampunk elements to it).
