Kyle Reese is John Connor's right hand man, trusted implicitly with the future of all mankind and the protection of that future's mother, Sarah Connor. The machines have lost the war and as a last desperate act the T-800 is sent to 1984 Los Angeles to kill Sarah Connor. Despite how valuable he is as a soldier to the resistance John allows Reese to pursue the terminator voluntarily knowing he will never come back one way or another.
Kyle Reese has been hopelessly in love with the legendary Sarah Connor since his commanding officer first gifted him with a photo of her. He cherishes every story of her bravery and allows himself only one indulgence in his bleak life, to dream of fighting along side her, to protect her and most precious of all the desire to be loved by her in return.
Sarah Connor is a 19 year old college student and waitress, she leads a simple and fairly average life, another face lost in the crowd. Until she's nearly murdered by a Cyborg and saved by a crazy intense and exciting man from the future. Falling in love with him is the easy part. Almost as if she's loved him her whole life.
Volunteering to cross time and be in her presence is a dream come true regardless of possible death and the certainty of being stranded in the past. Can he protect Sarah while hiding his love for her?
(Kyle and Sarah deserved a happy ending and John deserves to have a normal life. Changing the past in this story has actual benefits beyond SkyNet being destroyed)

This is a story about Terminators, obviously. A story whether a Terminator can fall in love, how one terminates numerous other Terminators sent to terminate him, and the Connor family from Judgement Day taking a required vacation in Britain for a year without Skynet really knowing where they are. This also takes place in a Alternate Universe where a majority of events happened in different years. This story happens in 2015 where John Connor is 11 years old and Sarah Connor is 29.
