What if you wake up one morning and you find yourself in the court of King Balduin IV, the Leper King? Note: The story is based more on the film Kingdom of Heaven (2005) than the real history, however it does not follow the filmscript completely and in some cases I used the historical facts, found in Bernard Hamilton's book about King Balduin IV (The Leper King and his heirs, 2005). Can this unwilling bride give her life and love away to a leper? And what is that which makes her the only one who could? Something far more sinister than a disease lurks ahead. Factions and alliances will either cooperate or sow discord.
