A promise.

A misunderstanding.

A curse.

---- **----**----

Sri Krishna's vision of Dharmarajya with Yudhishtira at its helm is very near to completion. The only hurdle left is to bring the scattered kingdoms of Aryavarta under one flag.

And the only way, that is possible is through the Ashwamedha Yagna.

Arjuna is tired of war. He would rather spend the rest of his life with his brothers and his wives at Hastinapura, in peace. He would rather focus on slowly and surely changing the virulent hatred of his last remaining nephew into something akin to tolerance.

Yet when has fate ever favoured the third Pandava Prince?

His life, a travesty of tragedy and heartbreaks.

How will the invincible Dhananjaya, fulfil his dharma, the dream of a united Bharatvarsha, with nothing except his broken heart, the ghosts of the past to keep company, a brother he seems to be getting distanced from with every passing minute and the son of his arch nemesis who despises the very existence of him?

On the other hand, Manipur is housing a cauldron full of secrets which is at the helm of boiling over when he finally reaches its mystical gates.

When the past suddenly catches up to him, Arjuna is left standing at the precipice of salvation and destruction.

Question is, what will he choose?

Uruvi, a golden hearted Princess of Pukeya, tried hard to change her destiny. She did not want to be married to anyone but unwantedly she befriended with two arch enemy Arjuna and Karna. One became her brother while another her husband. She tried to reconcile both of them with their wives, Arjuna with Chitrangada and Karna with Supriya. But would this big devotee and friend of Lord Krishna be sucessful in her endeavour? With whom her own destiny was then written? Who would be her friends and foes? Would she be loved and adored by all? Why Yuddhisthir loved her as his own sister? Why Duryodhan considered her as his friend and advisor? Why had wise Bhism considered her as as his own granddaughter? Could she convince Kunti to declare Karna as her first-born? Could she stop the great blood thirsty war of Mahabharata? Or would she also perish in this great blood thirsty battle along with her husband and sons? However Uruvi was not a well known as Karna Sangini. Mostly only one Karna's wife had been depicted. Some named her as Vrushali and some Padmavati. In the Ved Vyas Mahabharata the wife of Karna was only named as Karna-Sangini. Most would tell that the story of Uruvi was just a folklore and mentioned only in the scripts of South India. So kindly remember that fact before reading my book. She was Shankar Putri and Foster daughter of Bhumi Devi or mother earth. This is my original unpublished story and purely fan fiction and imaginative. It is copyrighted by only me. Nowhere except here it was published ever. It was not taken from any serial or book. It is part of my imagination. I don't want to hurt anyone's religious beliefs, feelings or sentiments. Cover credit-stxrrynxghts_ The great war had ravaged everything in its wake. Children had lost their parents, wives had lost their husbands, and mothers had lost their sons. Among them was the Princess of Dwarka herself, a mother whose heart had been torn apart. The child she had cradled in her arms, the son she had raised on her own-gone, never to return. Forever lost to the horrors of war. But could she, a woman of such strength, afford to wallow in grief? No, she could not. For beyond her sorrow, there was a greater responsibility. She had a grandson to guide, the future heir to the mighty Kuruvansha. The legacy of her family, of Dwarka, depended on her. She was a force to be reckoned with, the pride of Dwarka, the jewel of the Vrishnis-Yadavakumari Subhadra. From the days of her childhood, she had been shielded by her brothers, innocent and unaware of the world's cruelty. But life had transformed her into the formidable Rajmata of Aryavarta. The woman who stood tall, even when fate cruelly shattered her world, taking away her son, her Dwarka, her family. Yet, despite all the pain, no force could steal her strength. When hope had almost been lost, she rose-unyielding. She was a daughter, so nurturing. A sister, playful and mischievous. A princess, carefree and full of joy. A wife, gentle and loving. A mother, strong and responsible. And finally, a Rajmata, indomitable and fierce. No matter how cruel the game of destiny, she would never bend.
Radheya Karna: A Fallen Hero or A Sacrificing Sage? (Karna Series 1) by Amropali

In the age of Mahabharat, at Hastinapur Khatriyo Adhiradh fell in love with Sudro girl Radha. They got married but failed to produce any offspring. Many years later, in Ganga river, they discovered a newly born child with earrings and armor. His face was bright as daylight. They took him and named him Basusen. Later Maharishi Parasuram took him as his disciple but Dronacharya refuted while giving him the name of Karna. He was a great archer and powerful fighter. His dream of life was to defeat Arjuna, the greatest archer of India and the Prince of Hastinapur. At the day of archery competition, he even challenged his rival but refuted by Kulguru Kripacharya for not being a Prince. Arjuna's cousin, Duryodhan, immeditely befriended him and rewarded him the throne of Anga Pradesh (today's Behar). He became Angaraj and became the loyal friend of Duryodhan till his death. He even had to take part in his friend's gulit, agony and wrongdoings unwantedly. But he had a secret in his birth. Did it make him or ultimately break him before the final war of Kurukshetra against Arjuna? Some of avid readers are asking why I did not mention here about his lover Baishali or his third wife Uruvi. Yes I had removed their names as I planned to pen down separate stories on all of them. I had followed Ved Vyas Mahabharata here mostly. I don't want to make this book into a big fat novel. So I write down a whole series on his each wives and off springs, Vrishaketu & Padmaja. Sorry if you find this story not related to my all other stories of Karna Series. This is my second story on my favorite Mahabharata series. He is my childhood crush till today. I dedicate this book only to him. This is my original story and I strongly declare that I did not publish it on any other platform than here. The source of the story were Mahabharat and related stories or biographies on Angaraj Karna. Pictures were taken from public domain. Images courtesy: Youtube, Google Chrome and Pinterest.
