"マーベル映画『X-MEN：フューチャー&パスト』（2014）でミュータントのサンスポットを演じた俳優エイダン・カントさんが現地時間8日、虫垂がんのため亡くなった。42歳だった。エイダンさんの代理人がVarietyなどに明かした。

　エイダンさんは、1981年メキシコ生まれ。地元の映画・ドラマに楽曲提供するなど、音楽家志望だったが、2009年にドラマデビューを果たすと、その後は役者としての道を歩んだ。代表作として「ザ・フォロイング」（2013）、「サバイバー：宿命の大統領」（2016～2019）、「ザ・クリーニング・レイディー（原題） / The Cleaning Lady」（2022）などが挙げられる。


　「ザ・フォロイング」を制作したワーナー・ブラザース・テレビジョンと、同作を全米放送していたフォックス・エンターテインメントは「エイダン・カントさんの訃報を知り、打ちひしがれています。最愛の友であり、素晴らしい俳優。『ザ・フォロイング』全米放送から10年以上にわたり、私たちのフェミリーとして迎えいれてきました」と声明を発表。「計り知れない喪失です。エイダンさんがとても恋しい」と故人を偲んだ。（編集部・倉本拓弥）"All Rights Reserved
