"But I guess that's just the way things go."
---
What starts as a fleeting moment on the ice turns into something neither of them is prepared for.
When Karl first sees her, Cassie, she's untouchable. Graceful, controlled, and completely in her element, gliding across the rink like nothing in the world could reach her. But perfection doesn't last forever. One fall shatters the illusion, and suddenly, she's not just the girl everyone admires - she's human, hurting, and unraveling.
Drawn together by chance and kept apart by fear, their story unfolds through late nights, quiet confessions, and the push-and-pull of two people who don't quite know how to stay... or how to leave.
A soft but emotional hockey romance exploring connection, vulnerability, and the struggle between wanting love-and being afraid of what it asks in return.

Her dad coaches the San Fransisco Wave, so she knows all about hockey players-and why she should avoid them. Misconduct
Logan Romano didn't just enter the NHL. He tore through it. Dark. Brooding. Untouchable. With brutal talent and a reputation as cold as the New York winter, Logan dominates both the ice and every room he walks into. He doesn't lose. He doesn't bend. And he certainly doesn't fall in love. Not after the last time. Not until November Levine crashes into his life like a beam of sunlight he never asked for. She's warmth where he's storm clouds. She's soft where he's jagged edges. A walking contradiction to everything Logan swore he needed. When a deal forces the polar opposites under one roof, tensions ignite fast. Teasing turns to feuds. Feuds turn into something dangerously close to desire. And Logan is forced to confront the one promise he's never broken. Because once you step into the light- it's impossible to return. ✩ Grumpy x sunshine • forced proximity • slow burn Will the hockey captain cross that line? ✩ "Nova." I whisper, my voice low and hoarse against her neck. "Stop it." "Stop what." She whimpers back innocently as her thighs tighten around my hips. My teeth nip at the skin on her jaw in warning. "Either stop teasing, or put me out of my fucking misery." November pulls her head back from mine, resting it against the wall, and bats her lashes up at me. "Say please."
Tightrope
Becca and Will were once best friends. From immediately clicking at the school bus stop at five-years-old, to bonding over their love for hockey and future ambitions, it was always Becca and Will. Will and Becca. Even as they navigated the toughest parts of their lives, they could always count on each other. Becca had met Will when she had needed him the most, and Becca stood by Will through the times he could barely keep it together with everything going on at home. Nevertheless, as inseparable as they were, Becca one day simply disappeared. She left without explaining or even saying goodbye, and Will never heard from her again. That is, until eleven years later, she showed up at his team's arena, where he was the star player for the Chicago Whispers, claiming she was the new team publicist. Eleven years of silence made Will want nothing to do with her, but still, she pushed and held onto their lingering love for each other, determined to explain everything and get back in his life, even if it means walking the tightrope that hangs between their past life and the present. Still, as time passes and life stories are exchanged, Becca and Will might just realize that they aren't meant to be best friends this time around. Maybe, just maybe, they are meant to be so much more. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED TO @dearrheartbreak NAME Val RComplete
