[In the process of re-writing, no major changes, just wanted to tweak some things and expand on the characters' thoughts/motivations a bit further.]
Dorothy Lynch was the average country bumpkin with dreams of leaving behind her mundane life in her tiny hometown for something brand new. Her naive hopes and dreams were quickly squashed after stepping off the train into the lively city of New Orleans. Ill prepared to deal with such a drastic change, reality hit her like a sack of bricks. Sooner than later, Dorothy found that navigating such a world would be far more difficult than she had anticipated. Just when she finally thought she had it all figured out, she met him. A handsome and charming radio host, with an odd air about him. Attempting to keep him at arms length proved fruitless, as she seemed to only find herself drawn in far more that she could possibly fathom. How close would she get to this charismatic man, and what dark secrets would she uncover?
