A scientist experiments with portals, opening them to worlds with different "humans" then him. Dragging people he never intended to hurt or involve into it, but he isn't the only person ruining the timeline. A group of 4 manipulating to maybe end their curse.

The emperor of one of the empires wants to enslave everyone, and the Republic of free planets is forced to enter the war. The Republic's scientists invent a new engine, but it needs a lot of gold. One of the ships of the free planets goes to a newly discovered, backward planet. It is inhabited by humans, but communication with other planets has long been lost, and the people have slipped into a feudal-slave system. The scientists on the ship can't directly show their presence because of the rules and decide to turn some crew members into gods so they can collect gold. But first, the scientists decide to organize a rebellion on the planet. The godlike have to face many difficulties.
