Akane Yashiro, a San Francisco survivor and now a member of the military, isn't enthusiastic about her position in Monarch. She deals with survivor's guilt due to the 2014 attacks and her inability to fight when the team is up against Godzilla. Then, out of the blue, she is selected as one of the top candidates to pilot one of the few prototype machines that have been in development

One of them is a mechagodzilla by the name of SHIRYU.

When Akane accepts the proposal and chooses to pilot the massive machine, she is thrust into the large scale battlefield against the titans. At the same time, she and Monarch delve deeper into the Hollow Earth realm to discover many secrets. One of them that has been hidden for centuries might have the potential to pose a threat to to the titan's existence and humanity as they know it.


At one moment, despite both her fears and her wishes, Akane has to make a choice; either run away...or rise up to the challenge and join the fight.

Later, an unknown alien clone version of Virgo known as Space Virgo the Intergalactic Victorian Dragon Kaiju who wants to conquer the Earth. After the eventual failure of Apex Cybernetics, Godzilla and Kong both declared a truce finally ending the war started by their ancestors. As far back as 2014, Monarch had been working on a new energy source operation. In Honolulu, Hawaii, they built a power grid made up of three experimental Titan Cell Fusion Reactors. These reactors were powered by the primordial radioactive residue left by Godzilla and other Titans rather than conventional nuclear energy. Monarch quickly discovered that this residue contained incredible amounts of Titan DNA, and the United States would soon be the First Nation to benefit from Titan Energy. However, terror and disaster struck without warning the following year. After a magnitude 9.8 earthquake devastated the area, horrifying tourists and locals, all three reactors malfunctioned and detonated with a powerful shockwave, forcing the project to be relocated. Over 120,000 people were killed and 200,000 were left injured in the unprecedented aftermath. However, this was not the first time Hawaii had experienced a reactor incident. One survivor was Sean Harris who lost his family 15 years ago. Now he was a young adult who happened to be a well respected and high ranked employee in the company, but Sean was still at the reactor area when the tragedy struck, and the shockwave sent him flying. He was lost at sea while suffering from radiation poisoning, but also undergoing a physical molecular mutation that slowly transformed him into a kaiju. Time went on and he entered a catatonic state in the depths of the sea after fleeing military forces, and knew mankind would never aid him. Godzilla, Queen of the Monsters found him and brought him back to an island paradise for Titans. Yet why did Godzilla decide to save him? How would he learn to embrace his new life? Will the planet witness the rise of the Queen's destined King?

After the events of Godzilla Vs Kong, Monarch decided to scoop up the remains of the destroyed Mechagodzilla and use it as a base for Constructing a new Mechagodzilla that would be able to subdue titans if Godzilla were unavailable, but what happens when the machine gains a personality of its own?
