Yes, it's another PJO reading the books entry - I know, overdone, cringy and desperate. But recently I've noticed some of these entries improving their quality and ideas - the reality of the situation and its consequences being addressed and having the gods act and therefor feel like actual gods instead of impotent children whose progression feels either rushed or isn't even broached in the first place (cough, Zeus, cough)

I've also been enjoying darker takes of the PJO universe and it's story recently so combining both of these things together within the character's physical and mental state should hopefully make for a refreshing read and take on this entry for a reading the books fan-fiction.

Also let me know if you'd like to see any other books (fantasy war stories, e.g Harry Potter or the Inheritance Cycle) written down as a part of this series as well - it's an idea I'm toying with but doubt I'll get around to doing. Motivation seriously drags sometimes.

With all that said and done please enjoy - A Reading From War: The Lightning Thief.

Many forget that the goddess of love was born from the raging sea, but she would do anything to protect her daughter. Adora was Aphrodite's last daughter. Her mother kept her hidden. But, her mother isn't the only one who can keep a secret, especially in a world where your role in society is everything. For there was a prophecy long before she was born: 'Aphrodite's last child would be the one to take the throne, Her paternity unknown. They would carve her face and never forget, for she would be the most beautiful that they had met Cursed for the same fate as her mother Forced to leave her love for another The only way she shall break this curse is if she defeats the first' "Looks like the princess doesn't need saving after all." He says, quietly enough that no one else would hear, as he draws his hand away from my arm. I glare back at him. "Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to. I fuss over my hair, pouting as I run my fingers through it to put it back into place. *A warning note* I am not an expert on Greek Mythology, but it interests me greatly. Please excuse any inaccuracies in the book, but if there are any please do message or comment it and I will see if I can change it without making such a huge difference to the plot. Also, my main character is autistic and the experience will be different for everyone. I have tried my hardest to put down on paper how I feel and how I believe others see me. So, please be respectful about the decisions my characters make as I have chosen to give them many different types of neurodivergent brains. I have tried my best to represent these in the most accurate light whilst not romanticising them.

Demigod Diaries: The Mad Usurper

37 parts Complete

A few years after the war with Gaea, the demigods face another series of problems. A new wave of maleficence headed by someone only known as the "Mad Usurper" is coming for the gods and demigods. In addition to that, their personal problems are also in the way. Will the heroes be able to resolve their problems and stop the Mad Usurper? How will the succeeding events affect Olympus and their fellow demigods? All persons, monsters, gods or demigods living or dead in this fanfic is purely fictitious...or are they? Any event/s about to happen or happened before is/are purely coincidental. This is a fanfic of PJO and Heroes of Olympus in case you're wondering. FOREWORD: The comment section is always open if there are suggestions about the writing style, threats, bashing, reactions, etc. My co-editors are Keira_Viresse and enigmaticyouniverse.
