Silas Pinepeak is a gravedigger.
A widower forever, childless, this honest profession fits him like a glove. Silas is a skilled professional and takes great pride in finding the best grave; for a fee, in hard cash, needless to say. A life in the great outdoors, with quiet and accommodating neighbors. In short, happiness, if you want it.
That's why on a Thursday - a rainy Thursday, no less! - he finds himself in his cemetery, roving the vaults section in search of a gem to satisfy a grieving family.
