Eighteen year old Christine McDaniel, an eccentric girl with a knack for masked men, finds herself living in a real life horror film when her small town of Woodsboro is victimized by Ghostface, a desensitized serial killer putting everyone in a constant state of distrust and panic.

Two years later, Christine and Sidney Prescott leave Woodsboro to live in Ripley with their old friend, Madison Ross. Despite their efforts to live a new life, the return of the presumably dead killer sets them all back to square one.

As the murders go on and the kill count rises, Chris develops a guilty crush, all while trying to figure out the identity of her beloved killer. In the midst of her journey for love and the truth, she learns that horror movie rules do apply to this surreal situation, alongside many stereotypes and plot twists.
