Here I sit frozen as I watch the love of my life across the restaurant laughing and all cuddled up with my best friend. I watch as they kiss and soon get up headed for the elevator. My heart races as my breathing picks. Reality starts setting in that I had lost him. It was all my fault.Move Laurie! Confront them! I keep yelling in my head and I can't find the strength to move. The waiter comes and asks whether I wanted a refill of the wine. He snapped me out of it. With no words I place a fifty dollar bill on the table and head towards the elevator. I head towards the rooms and just as I turn the corner I watch my husband struggle to open the door as he makes out heavily with Ciara. I felt like a creep watching them but all this was important. It was the product of my doing. One may ask my role in this and why I wasn't confronting them and causing a storm right there and then. Well, it all started as a game..a bet. I was trying to prove how loyal my man was to me. My man?! How humorous to say this at the moment. I took slow steps heading towards the room. As I stood outside the door all I could hear were moans and gasps. "Don't stop my love!" Ciara moaned out. I couldn't believe my ears and so I pushed the door open and yelled out my soon to be ex husband's name "Wayne!". He scrambled off the bed and looked at me as he frantically tried to apologize. " It's not what it seems Lo. It's a mistake baby," he tried to say as he moved towards me.

•••Excerpt••• I walked Vivian up to her apartment. During the ride back she couldn't stop talking about the clothes she saw and her smile was constant. The spark in her eyes never left. How could I ask her to stay just because I was a self-centered fool. I'd miss her. "Thanks for dinner, Rich. I really appreciate it." I knew she meant for more than just dinner. "Your welcome, Viv." I hugged her. She was still here for another week. There's no need to go all sappy now. It was only 3 months. She'll be back before I know it. But for now, I needed this. To be with her. We pulled apart. That glow was still there. If I hadn't known any better, she looked like one of my many one night stands after hot sex. Wait, she looked like- "Oh, shit." "What is it?" She asked. Her face was surprised that I cursed out of nowhere. "Who is he?" I demanded. "Who's who?" "The man that you're fucking, Viv." *primarily in Vivian's pov, and this story was created about 3 years ago with not much editing. Sorry for the choppy style and grammar. I won't be changing it much because I wanna keep the memory of my writing.
