A series rewrite featuring Evan Mckinnon, the son of Danny Mckinnon and his wife Dora, as the only surviving member of the McKinnon family. His story begins with his godmother, Mary Macdonald, relinquishing guardianship to his aunt and living to regret it when the family disappears.
[Or 11-year-old Evan Mckinnon was raised by his aunt and uncle in an isolated cottage in Yorkshire. His lycanthropy makes it impossible to live a normal life. After a man called Dumbledore visits, he learns that he has the chance to attend the school of his dreams and learn magic. But his aunt's warnings make him wonder if he'll be able to survive the school year at all.]
