Mature
When a jaded, angsty, antisocial lesbian takes up residence in the abandoned farm up the mountain, the quaint people of The Valley don't know what to do with themselves.
The dilapidated farm has been passed down through her family for generations, much the same way one might inherit a curse, or an ugly dresser no one actually wants but everyone pretends to love. But Hark loves it, and has been waiting a lifetime for it to finally fall into her eager hands. And, as it turns out, Helhark Mountain has been waiting for her, too.

Solving ancient ancestral puzzles, digging up dangerous secrets, dodging overly-social townsfolk, and hacking down trees that grow much too fast for comfort, Hark cannot help but feel she is finally living a life she was born to. And between swearing like a sailor and threatening people with bloody hatchets, she might even just make time to let someone through her thick armor.

If this story seems familiar, that's because it is. Based on the farm life sim games we know and love so much, Helhark Mountain will take you from a two-dimensional simulation and into a world of fantastical spirits, adorable creatures, tropey NPCs, and hilarious heroes who will startle and entertain you at every turn.

"I'd met my match with Sebastian. He was just as much of a loner as I was-maybe even more. We were the only two members of the anti-social social club. It met every Wednesday: under the covers of Sebastian's bed." Stella's memory of Stardew Valley isn't the greatest and she swore she'd never return. But when her father wants to sell her grandfather's farm, Stella reluctantly agrees to buy it off him, afraid that her memories of the valley will disappear altogether if she lets it slip away. As she returns to Pelican Town, the gaps in her memory start to revive as she meets new faces, and reunites with old ones. Her first friend is the extroverted, blue haired Emily, who becomes Stella's key insight into the lives of her neighbors in Stardew Valley. Her first crush is the easy-going, adorably clueless skateboarder, Sam, who she runs into on her very first full day in the valley. Sam is everything Stella is not, and maybe he's what she needs-someone to counteract her melancholic, reclusive personality. But when she meets his dark haired, moody and pessimistic friend Sebastian, who is the complete opposite of Sam, she becomes enthralled with him, wanting to crack through his tough exterior to see what lies beneath. Sebastian is everything she wants, but knows she doesn't need. She knows how he is, because she is the same way. He's like a carbon copy of herself and that only intrigues her more. She knows he's like poison, but the way he makes her feel becomes like an addiction.

I let out a soft Mmm and instantly opened my eyes to see her looking at me with her head slightly tilted to the side and an amused smile playing on her lips. "Do you always have that reaction to things that taste good?" The possibility of a double meaning to her question wasn't lost on me and it surprised me, making me cough. I cleared my throat before answering. "Well, it depends.." I answered carefully. "On what?" She leaned forward slightly with what looked like an almost mischievous glint in her eyes. "On what I'm eating," I fired back sounding a lot more confident than I felt. Her eyebrows went up slightly. *** When Ren stumbles upon a job opportunity, she never thinks that it'll completely change her life. Meeting Cameron offers her something she thought she'd never get.. a second chance. Little does she know that it will also mean finally finding herself.
