Only fourteen years old, Luna has to fight and be absolutely perfect, to even survive. One screw up, and it's punishment, sometimes no food, sometimes a beating. Sometimes, there's no reason at all. She knows she doesn't belong there, yet she doesn't know if she would be able to leave. Until one day, when she gets the courage to leave her only home. Along the way she meets friends, who try and help her become happy. But she feels as though her step-dad watches her every move. Luna knows that her step-dad would be after her soon, and she doesn't want to hurt her friends. Even if it means hurting herself in the process.
